How many times have you been told no. I bet so many times that you started to believe it yourself. I remember when I made the choice to go to executive school instead of going to college. I had enough of school and I wanted to do nine months at a professional secretarial school and get to work. I was ready and eager to just get started.
I found out early in my career that secretarial work was not challenging enough for me. I would ask to take on new responsibilities and was always told I needed to go to college because I would never get ahead without a degree. Well at least that's what the world was telling me. I heard it so many times, that I started to believe that if I didn't have a college degree that I would be stuck as a secretary for the rest of my life. Not that there's anything wrong with being a secretary, it was just that I knew that God had something bigger for me than what the world could see. If God had intended for me to be secretary than I would have been the very best secretary I could be. God's plan would have been accomplished in that compacity, but there was more. It was only the beginning.
You see I always believed that two people could have the same dream but take different paths to achieve it. That was me. Just get your foot in the door I would tell myself and once your in show them what your all about. Give your very best in all that you do. This really helped when I realized I was working for God and not the world. But nonetheless, I"m glad God allowed those who were over me to find favor in me, in my ability to achieve. Basically God allowed them to see what he already knew.
Now today as I look back over my life without the degree, I am so blessed because God said YES. He said YES and prepared me for every step I've ever taken. That's why today I am a branch chief manager over a staff of 18. The world said NO, but thank GOD he said YES.
The moral here is that God has a plan for you and when we have a passion for something, it not by mistake. Who cares if you don't achieve your passion the way the world thinks it should be accomplished. If God has it in his ordain plan for you than it will be for you. Just lean and trust in God he will direct and lead your path. I believe that God plan is always different than the ordinary because then we know it's God. He will prepare you for all obstacles and when you feel like to can go on, he will carry you. So put your trust in him. If it is for you, GOD will always say YES.
So ignore the world and follow God. He will never let you down and he can accomplish a lot more beyond our imagination. Go ahead and give God a try. I dare you.
Much love.
God's Sevant,
Clarice
